FROM AROUND THE WEB:

Pressure builds for The Head and the Heart – Leoweekly.com (Feature Article)
- A nice piece with quotes from Josiah on the pressures of coming up with new material, and the fears of living up to their own standards.

For a real in depth look at whats going in their minds you should check out the Musician on Musicians podcast/interview with Josiah which can be found here – Josiah Johnson (The Head and the Heart) (It’s so good I decided to link back to it a second time)

The Head and the Heart: The Head and the Heart – Bgdailynews.com (Album Review) – It’s been a little while since we have seen an album review, but it’s always nice when another pops up. A short but well written positive review from the author worth a quick read.

Forecastle Festival 2012 Lineup: MMJ, Wilco, Andrew Bird, Bassnectar, Girl Talk, Flying Lotus – Livemusicblog.com

Forecastle announces lineup: MMJ, Wilco, Sleigh Bells, Girl Talk + more! – youaintnopicasso.com/

My Morning Jacket and Jackson Browne to Headline Newport Folk Festival – artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com – This made it in for two reasons; first it’s The New York Times, and second because just like they spell The New York Times with a capital “T” they should have done the same for The Head and The Heart. Personally it makes no difference, but it’s The New York Times.

David on THATH:

“I discovered The Head and the Heart while covering the Dr. Dog coming home show (March 2011) at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. I was instantly attracted to the bands lush harmonies, stage dynamics and elegant delivery of their unique song style and performance. They were a pleasure to shoot, and I have been following their growth throughout this past year. Having the opportunity to photograph The Head and the Heart at such a small and local Philly event (Philly has an AMAZING music scene) was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up!”
